Inferred data: Information a business estimates about a customer rather than collects, such as a likelihood to cancel, income band or life event, often derived from combinations of ordinary data.

FTC staff have described firms inferring financial sensitivity from what shoppers leave in their carts. A widely reported example is a retailer that built a pregnancy score from about 25 ordinary products. No field said “pregnant,” yet the inference drove the offers. See the Classify stage.
